Artist Biography:
Born in Detroit, Mario Moore received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies and his MFA from Yale University. Moore’s art is exhibited widely and features in the permanent collections of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Princeton University Art Museum, The Studio Museum in Harlem, and more. He is celebrated for powerful, life-sized portraits that center the presence of underrepresented individuals, informed by both historical and contemporary narratives.
